I'm just a nobody,
Running this sad race.
I'm never out of my lane,
Enclosed in this little tiny space.
But I always tell myself,
If I ever want to be a somebody,
I need to do my best in everything.
...Perseverance...
...Determination...
And, if, one day, I finish this long race,
I will not only move out of this small space,
But I will show the world who I really am,
What this small person can do.
I will become a "somebody".
And until that day,
I will not stop to try,
To try my best in everything I do.
And, if, I ever last any longer,
I will pass this to many,
To tell them to trust themselves,
Not to give up,
And they will soon taste true glory.
And I'll tell them,
How I've turned from one useless piece of garbage,
To a new person who soars high.
But until then,
This is just a dream,
A dream that I will hold,
Until it becomes a REALITY.
